On 13th July we will have an outing to Syon House. This is the Duke of Northumberland’s London home and is the last surviving ducal residence in greater London. The magnificent state and private apartments were designed by Robert Adam and the surrounding gardens are the work of ‘Capability’ Brown.
The Musical Museum houses one of the world’s foremost collections of self-playing musical instruments. From the tiniest of clockwork musical boxes to the ‘Mighty Wurlitzer’.
The price is £48/person and covers coach trip from Hertford or Hatfield to Syon House, coffee on arrival, lunch and guided tours of both Syon House and the Musical Museum.
Tickets from Elizabeth Dodwell either at the next meeting or by contacting her (see Members Card).
